We do not make you buy scuba gear for the beginner open water class. Let's face it, you're new to the sport of scuba diving and don't know how to select the best gear for your needs...so then why buy scuba gear for the class? We do sell Scuba Equipment but we want you to be able to better select what your needs are. Learning scuba and building trust with your dive shop and scuba Instructor, now that's how you will find out what is best for your type of diving. There are also no hidden charges or makeup class fees. Also, to your relief, Maximum Scuba is located onsite at Lake Longhorn. Being onsite at Lake Longhorn makes it easy so there are no long four-hour drive trips to local diving lakes for certification every day. We have onsite dive lockers to store your wet gear during training so no need to carry your wet gear or scuba tanks to dive sites each day for training. With your training class, Maximum Scuba Houston provides the"VALET" training classes or what we like to call  'THE Caribbean Treatment". At Maximum Scuba Houston, Scuba is done right.  ***Students will have unlimited use of all rental scuba equipment and snorkel gear for the duration of their class. Students are NOT required to provide or buy their own scuba equipment. We provide all equipment for the class that includes a scuba mask, scuba snorkel, dive fins, dive booties, dive wetsuit, scuba tank and dive weights.
